Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered a good fit will be sent for peer review before it is determined whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents, and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to being identified as authors. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise, and the abstract should be self-contained. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you are satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare it.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before completing a submission, authors must confirm:

☐ The manuscript falls within the Aims and scope of QEJ.

☐ The manuscript is original.

☐ The manuscript is not simultaneously under consideration elsewhere.

☐ All listed authors have approved the submitted version.

☐ All listed authors satisfy appropriate authorship requirements.

☐ Full author names, affiliations, countries, and contact information have been provided.

☐ ORCID identifiers have been provided where available.

☐ The manuscript has been prepared for double-anonymous peer review.

☐ The title, abstract, and keywords accurately represent the study.

☐ Tables and figures are properly numbered, cited, and captioned.

☐ Required permissions for third-party material have been obtained.

☐ References have been checked for accuracy.

☐ Funding information has been provided.

☐ Financial and non-financial competing interests have been disclosed.

☐ An author-contribution statement has been provided.

☐ A data-availability statement has been provided where applicable.

☐ Ethics committee name and approval/reference number have been provided where applicable.

☐ Informed consent has been reported where applicable.

☐ Parent/guardian consent and participant assent have been reported where relevant.

☐ Consent for publication has been obtained for identifiable material where required.

☐ Generative AI use has been disclosed where applicable.

☐ The authors have reviewed the journal's peer review, ethics, copyright, licensing, open access, and APC policies.
